Joe Romero lost his fight with Cancer on Oct 30th and will be missed by many. Romero was one of the first gay Latin male stars and starred in more that 650 movies. He was also a songwriter and director. He released two CDs on his Motorock Records label and promoted himself as the “Shock Rock Porn Star” He retired from the adult industry in September 2006 with a career spanning more than 14 year due to cancer. According to friends, Romero's real legacy will be his generosity and humor. He volunteered for Paws LA, Tom of Finland Foundation and APLA and the last year of his life worked at a hospital spending his spare time as chairman for Manchester Aids Project. Gino Colbert who worked with Romero says” "He was truly one of the great actors: an enormously strong screen presence, masculine and very, very hot - and a hell of a nice guy. It was always a pleasure to work with him. I don't think he ever gave a bad performance. He loved being in movies, and the camera loved him.”
