Adam Levine Gets Naked for Ball Cancer

Hunky Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine goes nude for Cosmopolitan UK to encourage men to check for signs of prostate and testicular cancer.

The singer, long a major supporter of gay rights, is completely naked, barely covered by a pair of female hands.

In a 2008 interview with The Advocate, Levine said he has always been a “very sexually open person” and an exhibitionist. In October, the singer became one of the first celebrities to record an “It Gets Better” video.

FDNY Beefcake Calendar is Back for 2012

After the 2008 scandal of finding firefighter cover boy Michael Biserta, was also featured in a Guys Gone Wild video showing his huge hose, the presses for the best selling calendar were stopped. With a new year ahead, it seems they've found a new charity they just had to help out: the FDNY! The calendar has always raised money for charity, but the FDNY has never taken money for themselves, but according to the NY Post, money is tight and they could really use the estimated $300,000 earned from their Calendar of Heroes. Why not?

The money would pay for new gear, but fire officials aren't ruling out spreading the wealth. The paper says they insist they "have not made a final decision about how the nonprofit FDNY Foundation will disburse the proceeds." (This decision seems to be for the 2012 calendar, and not the 2011 one.)

One firefighter, nicknamed "The Gift," told the paper "it's a shame" the money needs to be used for new equipment, adding, "It's a good moneymaker and a lot of fun." Maybe everyone who suffered from budget cuts should consider a calendar—surely a Sexy Librarians of the NYPL would sell.

Elvis Presley Gets a Porn Birthday Present

Vivid Entertainment is planning to give The King, ELVIS PRESLEY a naughty 76th birthday present on Saturday, by releasing an adult film parody of the late rock 'n' roller's life.

Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody is top X-rated filmmaker Axel Braun's latest movie, ahead of his induction to the Adult Video Film Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.

The film features two adult actors playing Elvis at different ages - newcomer J. Jay portrays the young Elvis, and Dale DaBone, who starred in Braun's Batman XXX: A Porn Parody, as the 1970's Elvis.

Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody is a fictionalised version of events that took place during the course of Elvis' life, as told by several fictitious friends/family, including an illegitimate daughter Shirley and his gay make-up artist.

Porn icon Ron Jeremy also makes an appearance as Elvis' "second cousin thrice removed", Melvis Presley.

The saucy movie includes parodies of pop culture icons James Dean, Natalie Wood and Muhammad Ali, while Andy San Dimas portrays Priscilla Presley and Lexi Belle stands in as The King's Viva Las Vegas co-star Ann-Margret.

The film comes with the firm disclaimer "Elvis XXX: A Porn Parody is not sponsored or endorsed by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. or any person or entity associated with it."

It Gets Better movement new has a catchy new song

New Yorker Rebecca Drysdale says she’s proud to support the campaign, which so many celebs and real LGBT people have taken to YouTube to support in recent months, following the spate of gay teen suicides across the US.

She hopes that her pop video is “both funny and entertaining, but still addresses the issue with earnestness and power.”

Research finds straight men are happy to kiss

Don't get your hopes up too much, this study was done in Europe. Can you imagine this study in the US where guys don't even sit next to each other in movie theaters let alone show affection.

Research has suggested that straight male students are happy to show affection to their same-sex friends.

Eric Anderson, a sociology lecturer at Bath University’s department of education, found that 89 per cent of 145 male students he surveyed were happy to kiss their friends on the lips.

Almost 40 per cent of those polled said they had engaged in sustained kissing with a male friend, “initially for shock value, but now just for ‘a laugh’.”

Mr Anderson, who is gay, said that results suggest that homophobia among the young is declining.

He told the Guardian that he believed attitudes towards male intimacy had changed substantially in recent decades and that young men no longer fear being seen as gay for being affectionate with each other or kissing for a joke.

Similar patterns can be seen in studies on US football teams and sport may have a big effect, he said.

“That has been mimicked by footballers at lower levels – a kiss in a moment of sporting glory.

“When these men brought it into the pubs, their kisses made it OK for other men to do the same. The knock-on effect is that gay men can now kiss in student spaces as well.”

He added that his findings indicate that the UK is “near the end of homophobia being acceptable for youth in the UK”.

“Sexual minorities have made tremendous cultural and legal improvements towards equality – the media is saturated with images of sexual minorities, and homosexuality is almost normalised today,” he told the newspaper.

Trans woman performs DIY castration

This is one "Do It Yourself" project you should stay away from, but you have to say, it took some balls. A transgender woman in North Derbyshire was so determined to have sex reassignment surgery, she performed a DIY castration.

The patient, 22, waited 24 hours before going to hospital, the Sheffield Star reports.

She is understood to have been determined to undergo sex reassignment surgery and did not use an anaesthetic.

She told doctors that the process hurt less than she expected as they treated the wound and offered psychiatric help.

A spokesman for Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Trust said: “A man [sic] in his early twenties presented himself at the hospital minus his testicles, which he had removed the previous day.

“He was treated, then discharged.“We can say no more because of patient confidentiality – but this is pretty unusual.”

Referrals for medical treatment of transgenderism can take months and patients are required to live in their new role for a set time period before surgery takes place.

Manhunt Launches iPhone, Android Apps

The company said it is the first gay site to offer apps for both device platforms allowing users mobile access to more than 4 million Manhunt users around the world.

"Manhunt is all about giving guys what they want, when they want it," said chief marketing officer Todd Sowers.

The company is reporting nearly 10,000 downloads a day for the product since its soft launch last week and 5,000 log-ins per hour.

Some of the apps’ key features include connections from a PC, email, track and buddy list access and message filtering.

The new apps augment Manhunt’s existing mobile presence — the mobile web app, — which makes Manhunt available to users on any mobile web browser, according to the company.

The Manhunt mobile web app is undergoing major enhancements and will roll out in the first quarter of 2011 with GPS functionality and more.
