Pope Hitler: nuns not judging others enough

The Vatican has launched a crackdown on the umbrella group that represents most of America’s 55,000 Catholic nuns - the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) - saying that the group does not speak out strongly enough against gay marriage, abortion and women’s ordination.

Throughout the history of the Catholic church, women - who are banned from being preists because the haven't got penises - have taken vows of poverty, chastity and obedience and have directed their work toward charitable and educational causes such as running schools, hospitals, orphanages and a range of social services.

That's not enough, according to the Vatican. The Pope wants American nuns to focus more on telling people how sinful they are. The eight page report states that issues like “the church’s biblical view of family life and human sexuality, are not part of the LCWR agenda in a way that promotes church teaching."

Meanwhile, in Seattle, the congregation at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church gave the Rev. Tim Clark a standing ovation last Sunday when he announced that the parish would not gather signatures for a referendum to repeal same-sex marriage.
