If you ever wondered how fucked up you would have to be to get kicked out of the Adult Video Awards, just ask Comedian Andy Dick. Andy's public freakouts have become the stuff of legend. The out-of-control funny man continued his wild antics backstage last Saturday night at the 2011 AVN Awards at the Palms Casino Resort.
A clearly intoxicated Dick, who was scheduled to present an award that night, was waiting for host and fellow comedian Lisa Lampanelli backstage while she walked the red carpet about an hour before the show. According to eyewitnesses, Dick had beef with Lampanelli over remarks she said about him on TV.
“It was Lisa Lampanelli who wanted him thrown out,” AVN Founder and President Paul Fishbein said. “He was cursing, drinking a beer that kept spilling and generally acting disorderly and totally belligerent. We had to remove him from the venue.”
Initially, Tori Black’s security personnel kicked Dick out, and after he somehow managed to get back in, he sat in what he thought was Lampanelli’s dressing room waiting for her, but it was really Chi Chi LaRue and Tera Patrick’s.
From there, security confronted Dick again and he got booted in a more peaceful manner.
