Battlestar Galactica Gettin' More Gays

Last time BSG had a gay character, she was played by Michelle Forbes and was a semi-crazy admiral involved with a toaster. The news that the new version of that venerable 70's show (which could be one of the best shows on U.S TV) will feature a new gay character is exciting for us gay-geeks. The best news would be if Apollo came out, played by the luscious Jamie Bamber, but that doesn't appear to be in the cards. Instead, it appears that Felix Gaeta, played by Alessandro Juliani, is revealed to have a lavender side in "The Face of the Enemy," a 10-part webisode series on SciFi.com. Of course, he's not the only one, but he's the only major recurring character to come out. I seem to remember Felix hooking up with a woman in a prior season, so maybe he swings both ways. Anyways, thank the Lords of Cobol for out gay characters on TV.

A Day Without Gays

It's hard for me to believe a whole day without gays (hope they don't mean sex) but today December 10 is Day Without A Gay - a protest against the passage of laws banning same-sex marriage in the US.

Day Without a Gay, modeled after the 2006 immigrant’s rights protest that swept from California to Texas, is intended to show how important gay people are to the US economy.

"A day without gays would be tragic because it would be a day without love," reads the movement's website.

"On December 10, 2008, the gay community will take a historic stance against hatred by donating love to a variety of different causes.

"On December 10, you are encouraged not to call in sick to work. You are encouraged to call in 'gay' - and donate your time to service!"

The website includes suggestions for people who fear skipping the day at work, such as writing to politicians or discussing the issue with friends.

The protest is appropriately taking place International Human Rights Day.

The group Join The Impact claims that gays and lesbians contribute $700 billion a year to the US economy - the same amount as the recent US government bailout

Gay Porn Murderer's Life Sentence, All Over Brett Corrigan

Gay porn producer Joseph Kerekes, who originally insisted he was innocent, has pleaded guilty to the stabbing and arson murder of business rival Bryan Kocis.

Investigators believed Kerekes and an accomplice worried that Kocis' rival gay production company would prevent them from signing a porn star named Brent Corrigan, so they confronted him.

That confrontation ended in what the police investigators working on the case described as one of the most gruesome crime scenes they'd ever seen.

Kerekes was immediately sentenced to prison for life with no chance of parole after his guilty plea.

The plea was to a second-degree murder charge, admitting he was an accomplice in Kocis' brutal January 2007 murder.

Kocis' throat was slashed and his house burned down. Kocis was stabbed more than 20 times and was nearly decapitated.

Investigators believe Kerekes and his partner, Harlow Cuadra, traveled to Kocis' Pennsylvania home to kill him because he was a rival in the gay porn business.

At his court appearance, Kerekes said Cuadra "had murdered Bryan Kocis and had set his home ablaze." Kerekes then apologised to Kocis' mother, sister and father.

Michael Kocis said, "We will never forgive nor will we forget what Mr Kerekes has done to this family."

Kerekes has refused to testify against Cuadra. "I absolutely will not testify for the state case against Harlow," Kerekes said after his plea.

Cuadra's trial is slated to start in January, if found guilty of first-degree murder, Cuadra may face the death penalty.

Dozens Of Italian Football Players Pay For Gay Sex

Damn, where can I get one of these Footballers. Italian and som Australian football - or soccer to us Yanks has been rocked by revelations of gay sex and escorts amongst the game's highest ranks. A player named only as 'Victory' claims he has had sex with 12 well-known top name players.

The third-division player revealed in a televised interview that he had been paid for sex by players and that sex took place after matches and in hotels, even changing rooms.

"I am talking about important players," said Victory in the interview with TV station La 7. "Serie A players even internationals and married players. We are talking about more than just kissing."

Victory explained that he needed to become a rent boy to supplement his footballer's income and said that he escorted players to functions.

"I charge $2,945 (1,500 euros) and the players pay up no problem. Most of the time we meet in hotels after matches, that's when they get their only free time. "They just want to relax and they don't have any problems kissing me on the mouth. But they are all terrified of being found out. I have about 30 clients who are footballers and I would say that a dozen are Serie A and national team players - several times I have been asked to take part in group sex sessions.

"Players from the same team and my friends and it is always just for sex. They all know I am a footballer as well but they like me because I am discreet.

"A lot of them are bisexual, they are married or have girlfriends. They have a respectable image but none of them will ever admit to being gay, not for the time being anyway."

These revelations come only weeks after MP Franco Grillini, president of the Italian gay group Archigay, said there were at least 20 gay footballers in Serie A.

Grillini said, "A lot of these players have girlfriends or wives - it's all a facade put there as a cover. They are really scared of coming out because they are terrified what the supporters would say."

Killer Of Gay Larry King Will Face Trial As Adult

A judge has decided that 14-year-old Brandon McInerney is competent to stand trial for the murder of gay schoolmate Larry King in February.

Judge Kevin McGee made the ruling after McInerney was evaluated by a psychiatrist and a psychologist to determine whether he understands the nature of the charges against him.

King, an eighth-grader, dressed in a feminine manner and told friends he was gay.

McInerney shot him dead at school on February 12, and the attack has been classed as a hate crime.

The accused will be able to stand trial as an adult, with a preliminary hearing for January 26.

The teenage McInerney faces a sentence of 51 years to life if convicted of all the charges.

That's a line from Steve Martin's movie "The Jerk," where he was excited because he was finally listed. It is perhaps funny because the viewer's response is a big 'who cares?' Similarly, you might feel the same way about the last minute regulations that the Bush administration is implementing before W leaves office (can I get an Amen?). The Washington Post had an interesting article, but, you might ask, how does that affect little, old porn-lovin' me?

Included in those last minute revisions could be changes to regulations under 18 U.S.C. §2257 that will be released this month. The previously revised regs are already the subject of two law suits, one by Connection Distributing and another by the Free Speech Coalition. The regs spell out the personal documentation that sexually explicit performers and related publishers must make available for government inspection. So this only affects you if you enjoy porn online or porn DVDs. Given the court cases on appeal, the actual effect is fairly unclear. Since the regs have to publish 30 day before the new administration, they are likely to come out in the middle of December. The Bush administration's effects could be with us for a long time.

A couple of gay penguins are being punished for wanting fatherhood. As reported in the UK Telegraph, a pair of male penguins in a zoo in China have taken to "stealing" eggs from other penguins in order to raise them. The crafty pair have even attempted a bait-and-switch, substituting stones for eggs that they made off with. Now keepers have decided to segregate the pair of three-year-old male birds to avoid disrupting the rest of the community during the hatching season. While the keepers have denied discrimination, we all know the excuses far too well.

World AIDS Day

A report released by the UN Joint Program on HIV/AIDS shows that about 33 million people around the world were infected with HIV as of last year. 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. Looks like Andrew's boyfriend is being played by Todd Grinnell. He was in last night's episode and we found out that Andrew and his character just moved in together. Titan's Funhouse Can Give You Hot Nightmares

Okay, so I finally got to see Titan's new flick "Funhouse." I was excited because it features Eric Moreau, the hot Frenchman from Titan's "Double Standard." Eric's scene with Diesel Washington in the shower was a highlight of that movie for me. I was excited when I found out he would be paired with Dean Flynn, another favorite, in "Funhouse." The scene between them in "Funhouse" did not disappoint; perhaps the most acrobatic sex scene I have ever scene. Also a great connection between the two. More later when I do my review on the Porncast.
Anyways, greatly featured in Funhouse is François Sagat, dressed as some weird clown, although that might be redundant! As you can see from the section of the boxcover, he is not only hot but extremely creepy. And that picture doesn't even do it justice! Don't get me started on the fish-net bodysuit. Hot and scary all at the same time. Check out "Funhouse," but don't say I didn't warn you about the nightmares.

Muscle Mountain climbs new peaks

Derec Stone stars in Jet Set's newest release, Muscle Mountain. The film marks Jet Set scriptwriter John Tegan's directorial debut. The story centers on ranchers who spy on and harass one another but end up giving in to love and lust. Stone appears in two scenes: one with Jeremy Bilding, in his DVD debut, and Chris Thomas; and one with Lucky Daniels, where they end up in a near fist fight that quickly evolves into a slam-fuck in the barn. Chris Thomas bottoms for the first time, getting fucked by both Stone and Bilding. Look for my review in the next few weeks.
